ACHARYA AWARD

To recognize the merit of an Eminent Ayurveda, Unani and Siddha Teachers, Management Committee of “The Fund” registered under the Societies Registration Act. XXI of 1860 has decided to give five awards in Ayurveda, two awards in Unani and one award in Siddha to Eminent teachers in the respective systems. The value of the award is Rs. 25,000/- and a medal for each awardees. Nominations containing the following can be made by the colleagues and teachers of candidates, Principals/Deans, Vice Chancellors, Directors of AYUSH of the state, Civic leaders, Professional Societies or established expert in various industries or other fields. The Nominee should not be related either by blood, marriage or adoption to the person making the nomination provided that such a person has not played any direct part in the nominee's work.

The nomination should make it clear, the category under which it is to be considered. The nomination may be sent in a sealed cover marked 'confidential' addressed to the Secretary, Acharya Award Fund, office of the Central Council of Indian Medicine, 61-65 Institutional Area, Janakpuri, New Delhi – 110058 by 31st March, 2016. The day and date of award distribution will be decided by Central Council from time to time.
